This is how it all started…
Back in 2004, I stumbled across a blog that would unknowingly change the course of my life. I was fresh into a 9–5 job — working hard, clocking in and out, chasing promotions — but deep down, I knew something wasn’t right. I felt stuck in a loop where my time belonged to someone else, and I kept asking myself: Is this all there is?
The idea of making money online was still new and unconventional at the time. There were no YouTube tutorials or TikTok side hustle influencers. Just a handful of online forums, messy HTML websites, and people figuring it out as they went. I became one of them. I started dabbling in blogging, not to make money — at first — but because I had something to say, and the internet was a place where someone might actually listen.
That curiosity led me down a rabbit hole of SEO, affiliate links, and content creation. I stayed up late studying how Google ranked pages, how blogs could generate traffic, and how that traffic could actually earn income. And then it happened — my first $50 commission from an affiliate link. It wasn’t much, but it changed everything. It showed me what was possible.
Over the years, I went all in. I built multiple blogs, experimented with niche websites, launched online stores, created info products, and even dabbled in print-on-demand before it became trendy. Some businesses failed. Some thrived. A few I grew and sold for profit. But every venture taught me something new about digital marketing, resilience, and the power of passive income.
What started as a side project turned into a full-blown obsession — not just for making money online, but for building systems that gave me back control of my time and energy. I didn’t want to work just to live for weekends anymore. I wanted freedom. I wanted flexibility. I wanted ownership of my life.
Eventually, I took the leap and walked away from the traditional job world. No more office politics. No more trading hours for a fixed paycheck. I went all in on my online journey, and I’ve never looked back.
